Allergan Inc of US has tied up with Kaya Skin Clinic of India to form 'Botox at Kaya' for treatment of aging. Under 'Botox at Kaya', Allergan and Kaya will collaboratively handle the clients at Kaya Clinics across India.
"The treatment using Botox has been carried at Kaya for long time now. With this tie-up Allergan will ensure that all the doctors and dermatologists using the product are trained by Allergan. The client will be handled by both Allergan and Kaya," explained Raghu Kumar, managing director, Allergan India.
Botox is a US FDA approved flagship brand of Allergan which is one of the best multi-specialty health care companies in the world. The company focuses on discovering, developing and commercializing innovative pharmaceuticals, biologics and medical devices.
"Botox is a product used for the treatment for signs of aging. It is available in the form of powder. During the treatment's procedure, it is liquefied and injected in the affected area. The syringes are thinner than usually used. It is a 15 to 20 minutes procedure and it lasts for a year or so. Cost of the treatment varies from client to client but it starts from Rs 8000. These treatments are done by dermatologists who have been specially trained for the use of this product," said Dr Snehal Sriram, head - Medical Services, Kaya Skin clinic.
Raghu Kumar mentioned that Allergan will soon launch a product that can make eye-lashes smoother, darker, thinker and longer only by applying the product. The product is in the pipeline. It waiting for US FDA approval as soon as it is approved, it will be launched in US and then subsequently here, he informed.
"We have tied up with Kaya because we have been working only with the best to ensure that we provide our client the best. But Kaya is an exception for us as it given us an opportunity to launch ourselves as 'Botox at Kaya', which is unique for us," said Rajeev Nagi, sales and marketing, Botox, Allergan India.
