Bilcare expands clinical supplies facility in India

Bilcare Global Clinical Supplies (GCS), a leading multi regional provider of clinical trial materials (CTM) services, has expanded its packaging operations and Storage capacities at its Pune, India facility to further strengthen its offering to its global customers. With the current expansion in the facility at Pune, India, the packaging and storage capabilities have increased multifold and the facility can now manufacture, package and distribute CTM through its in-house IVRS. The facility, with its approval from the local FDA as well as the Narcotics Control Bureau, is now fully-equipped to not only manage normal CTM but also controlled drug substances, according to a Bilcare announcement. The facility at Pune, India was commissioned in October 2005 making it the first major operation for providing CTM in India. Subsequently, Bilcare GCS has expanded its operational and distribution capabilities of facilities in Pennsylvania, USA and Powys, UK. Bilcare GCS also significantly strengthened its distribution capabilities across the world with its recent formal working agreement with World Courier, a leading specialty logistics company with cold chain expertise.
