Claris Lifesciences bags 'Frost and Sullivan' Gold award for Manufacturing Excellence in Healthcare - Large Enterprise

Claris Lifesciences, a global lifesciences company has received the 'Frost and Sullivan' Gold award for Manufacturing Excellence in Healthcare - Large Enterprise for 'Clarion'. Clarion is the state of the art manufacturing facility of Claris Lifesciences Ltd. This is the second consecutive year that Clarion has received this award. Frost & Sullivan's India Manufacturing Excellence Awards was held in December in Bangalore to recognize the Indian Manufacturing Capability and assess its Global Competitiveness. There are two basic segments in the awards - Large Enterprises and Emerging Enterprises. Platinum and Gold awards were presented across automotive ancillaries, process, engineering, metals, chemicals, and healthcare sectors. An overall audit of the manufacturing practice was undertaken at the organizations. During these site visits, the facilities were assessed on 14 factors (12 quantitative and 2 qualitative) such as Layout and MHS, Focus on Customers, Safety and Environment, Supply Chain, Quality Systems, Operational Flexibility, amongst others. These factors are globally known to reflect facilities' progress towards flexibility and leanness and are associated with manufacturing excellence. Commenting on this achievement Arjun Handa, managing director & CEO, Claris Lifesciences said, "A stringent evaluation process was followed to select award recipients. Raghvendra Rao senior director, Manufacturing & Process Consulting (SAME) & Arka Gupta consultant had come to visit 'Clarion' for assessment which went on for two days.
