NIPER, Hyderabad to launch certificate course in Pharma Export Management

The National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education & Research (NIPER), Hyderabad in collaboration with Pharmexcil is launching a certificate course in Pharmaceutical Export Management. The first batch of this 12-week course will commence in the last week of January, 2009. Launching of the course in Pharmaceutical Export Management is important as there was severe shortage of professionals in this sector. The course is being introduced with the initiatives and support of Department of Pharmaceuticals. Eligibility criterion for this course is that the applicant should be MBA/B Pharm/Graduates with experience preferably in the field of Pharma Export. The total intake of students for the first batch will be restricted to 30 students. Experts and eminent personalities will deliver didactic lectures for the course. The course will impart necessary skills such as export procedures, shipping, customs, warehousing, incentives, international marketing, drug regulatory requirements, etc. required for pharmaceutical industry. Other areas which will be covered included the pre-requisites for exports such as export procedures, overview of CGMP, CGLP and GRP, pharmaceutical product exports promotion scheme, export requirements, international marketing practices/techniques, marine insurance of export cargo, India's foreign trade policy, export documentation, global drug regulatory bodies/registration requirements.
