HealthCare Global Enterprises Ltd. (HCG), south Asia's largest cancer care network, is observing World Cancer Day on February 4 under the theme 'living with cancer'. HCG will highlight the message through educative talks and free consultations across its cancer care network in Bangalore.
Curie Centre of Oncology, part of HCG network at St. Johns Medical College, Koramangala and Bangalore Institute of Oncology, Double Road, would provide free doctor consultation on February 4, 2009. HCG Gokula Curie Cancer Centre is holding a cancer awareness and education talk by Dr Janaki M G at MS Ramaiah Memorial Hospital at 3.30 pm. This talk will focus on disease symptoms and caring for patients with tips on prevention.
Commenting on HCG's initiatives for World Cancer Day, Dr. B S Ajai Kumar, chairman, HCG, said, "Spreading awareness about cancer across all segments of the society would help in clearing myths and instilling confidence not only to patients but also to their near and dear ones. The educative talks and free consultations would help us spread the message that there is only one way to treat cancer - the right way, the first time."
