Workshop on 'scientificity of traditional Ayurvedic practices' to be held in Vijayawada on Feb 8

A state level workshop-cum-seminar on the Scientificity of Traditional Ayurvedic Practices will be organized at the IMA Hall in Vijayawada in Andhra Pradesh on February 8. The seminar, sponsored by Vijayawada based Ayurveda Scientific Research Institute, SFPAA DIARY (Scientificity, Fundamental, Principles of Ayurveda in Andhra Pradesh), will have special scientific sessions where experts will present papers on various aspects of Indian System of Medicines. Dr. V Bhanu Prakash, chairman of the organizing committee, said the main theme of the workshop-cum-seminar to be highlighted is to identify and evaluate the promising and widely accepted practices and make use the skills of this system to the benefit of the people in the rural and tribal areas. The seminar will also focus on the validation of relevant and promising practices of traditional health practitioners, and to further develop their potential for public benefit. The seminar will discuss topics such as Care and Techniques of Drug Preparation in Ayurvedic General Practice, Successful ayurvedic yogas and scientificity of traditional medicines in the present day world. In the seminar, Prof. Venu Gopal Rao, Registrar of Dr. NTR University, Vijayawada will be the chief guest. Dr. A. Ramalingam, President, Impcops, Chennai, Dr. KVS Prabhakaran, Additional Director, Department of Ayush, Hyderabad, Prof.M.L.Naidu, Principal, Dr.NRS Govt Ayurvedic Medical college, Vijayawada, Prof. Ram Sundar Rao, Prof. S. Manikya Sarma, Dr. PHC Murthy and Dr.M Paramkusa Rao will speak on related subjects. In the valedictory function former CCIM member and director of Impcops Dr. D Radha Krishna Murthy will participate as chief guest.
