Karnataka Biodiversity Board, part of the State Department of Forest, Ecology and Environment is organizing a workshop on Local Traditional Knowledge related to Biodiversity on 26 February at Bangalore.
The day long event will be held at Atria Hotel. Dr PL Gautam, chairman National Biodiversity Authority, Chennai will inaugurate the workshop. The chief guest of the event is Meena Saksena, principal secretary, department of Forests, ecology and environment. S Nagaraj, principal chief conservator officer, Karnataka Forestry department will preside the occasion. The guest of honour is DK Ved, director, Foundation for Revitalization of Local Health Traditions (FRLHT).
The event will focus on the variety of the plants and herbs of medicinal value and its conservation.
