Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd announced that US FDA has granted an approval for its Abbreviated New Drug Application (ANDA) for generic Accupril, quinapril hydrochloride tablets.
These quinapril hydrochloride tablets, therapeutically equivalent to Accupril tablets from Pfizer, are available in four strengths viz. 5 mg, 10 mg, 20 mg and 40 mg and have annual sales of approximately USD 45 million in the US.
Quinapril is an antihypertensive. Accupril is a registered trademark of Pfizer.
