Fortis Healthcare tie-ups with Raheja Hospital in Mumbai

Fortis Healthcare Ltd and S L Raheja Hospital have entered into a strategic tie up to bring world class healthcare to Mumbai. Fortis has assumed charge of operations and management of 280-bedded super specialty S L Raheja Hospital. This is the fourth hospital added to its network during last few months. Fortis already has a presence in Mumbai with a hospital at Vashi, Navi Mumbai. The recently added hospital is located in Central Mumbai and surrounded by densely populated residential colonies. Its proximity to the emerging business hub of Mumbai-Bandra Kurla Complex and connectivity through Suburban Railways as well as the new Bandra-Worli sea link makes it easily accessible. Fortis will leverage is experience and expertise to enhance the range and quality of healthcare services being provided by the hospital. The company will also upgrade the medical program at the hospital, enhance existing facilities and introduce new specialties. With these enhancements the hospital is expected to be well positioned to cater to the changing healthcare need of the people of Mumbai. Fortis is now a network of 28 hospitals with capacity to increase inpatient beds to 3280 beds. These hospitals include multi specialty hospitals, as well as super-specialty centres providing tertiary and quaternary healthcare to patients in areas such as cardiac care, orthopedics, neurosciences, oncology, renal care, gastroenterology and mother and child care.
