CEO and chairman Jim Walker of Octagon Research Solutions, Inc, a pioneer and leading provider of breakthrough software and services to the life sciences industry, announced the availability of CheckPoint, a new innovative software solution aimed at trouble shooting costly data compliance issues. This new software, which can be combined with Octagon's CheckPoint consultancy services, allows organizations to identify errors and issues of non-compliance before data is submitted to the agency. CheckPoint includes over 300 comprehensive data checks, as well as the option for follow-up analysis and consultation with Octagon experts and automates the traditional labour-intensive process of validating data for CDISC (Clinical Data Interchange Standards Consortium) SDTM (Study Data Tabulation Model) compliance. "Octagon is answering the market need for an efficient way to expedite the validation of clinical data," commented David Evans, chief information officer, Octagon Research Solutions, Inc. "Clients will feel secure, confident, and prepared in entrusting their critical data to CheckPoint and will realize the efficiencies gained from producing submission compliant deliverables with minimal effort." Traditionally, the effort to generate compliant data sets has taken significant time and the validation process is usually riddled with errors due to human intervention. CheckPoint obviates the tedious, manual and labour-intensive process of validating data for CDISC SDTM compliance, instead automating these tasks. This simplifying effort allows organizations to identify errors and issues of non-compliance. Octagon's Regulatory and Clinical professionals rely on CheckPoint to ensure compliant data deliverables for electronic submissions. "We are pleased to add CheckPoint to our software portfolio," noted Jim Walker. "As we continue to develop new ways to automate the data and document submission cycle, we are shortening the distance from collection to submission and are able to make a more significant impact on Clinical R&D than any existing technology vendor." Octagon will offer demonstrations of CheckPoint at its exhibit Booth #513 during the DIA 45th Annual Meeting held this week in San Diego, California Octagon is a pioneer and leading provider of breakthrough software and services to the life sciences industry. Octagon's eCTD and CDISC solutions provide the people, process and technology required to optimize drug development from data collection to submission.
