Takeda begins work for new research facilities

Takeda Pharmaceutical Company Limited (Takeda) announced that it held the commencement ceremony of new research facilities, which straddle the border of the cities of Fujisawa and Kamakura in Kanagawa Prefecture, Japan. Takeda anticipates completion of the research facilities before the end of fiscal 2010. Takeda looks forward to continuing its open dialogue with and asks for the continuing cooperation and support of the prefectural and municipal authorities, local residents, and other stakeholders. The company is taking all possible steps for rigorous preservation of the environment and for assurance of safety during the construction. The new research facilities will serve as the centre of Takeda's global research network. Through the establishment of this world-class facility and its outstanding drug discovery capabilities, Takeda will further increase its dynamism and global appeal to researchers of all levels.
