Anuh Pharma's facility inspected successfully by EDQM

Anuh Pharma, a Mumbai-based Rs 120-crore plus pharma company, has been successfully inspected by European Directorate for the Quality of Medicines & HealthCare (EDQM). The company expects to receive European Good Manufacturing Practices (UGMP) Certificate for its manufacturing facility. Further, it will also receive Certificate of Suitability (COS) for its product Erythromycin E.P. It enjoys WHO GMP and ISO9001-2000 approvals and all the facilities are built and operated according to cGMP The company's manufacturing facility is located at Tarapur in district Thane with an installed capacity to manufacture 6 lakh kgs of antibiotics. Recently Anuh Pharma has implemented the expansion programme to increase the capacity by 150 MT per annum. The company improved its financial performance during the year ended March 2009 and its net sales increased to Rs 120.51 crore from Rs 110.87 crore in the previous year. Its net profit also went up by 12.1 per cent to Rs 8.72 crore from Rs 7.78 crore. Its exports reached at Rs 53.49 crore from Rs 49.53 crore, a growth of 8 per cent. As against the equity base of Rs 1.39 crore, the company's reserves amounted to Rs 42.82 crore as compared to Rs 37.55 crore. The company management stepped up equity dividend to 180 per cent (Rs 9 per share of face value of Rs 5 each) from 160 per cent in the last year.
