Fortis Healthcare ties up with M K Hospital in Haryana

Fortis Healthcare has added 175 bedded hospital in Bhiwani, Haryana to its network of hospitals by entering tie-up with MK Hospital. The hospital will operate as Fortis MK, Hospital and will be managed by Fortis under an O & M arrangement. This super specialty hospital is spread over a total area of 7.5 acres of land and shall focus on high end care in the areas of cardiac sciences, neuro sciences, orthopaedics, along with a full range of multi-specialty services. The hospital will be fully equipped with advanced radiology equipments and a cath lab. With 5 high tech operation theaters, the hospital is well poised to cater to the emergency and critical care needs of residents of surrounding areas including the districts of Rohtak, Jhajjar, Hisar, Rewari, Mahendergarh in Haryana and Churu, Jhunjhunu and Pilani in Rajasthan. The hospital has been set up by Sri Hari Health and Education Foundation (SHHEF) and shall commence IPD services by March 2010. Commenting on the announcement Shivinder Mohan Singh, managing director, Fortis Healthcare, said, “We are pleased to bring high quality healthcare to the people of Bhiwani and the surrounding regions. We believe that with their commitment, the hospital will become a preferred healthcare destination in the city and region.” The tie-up is in line with Fortis's plans of going deeper into smaller cities to make quality care at affordable rates more easily accessible to a large population base. Fortis Healthcare has recently concluded its acquisition of 10 Wockhardt hospitals including two under construction at Kolkata and Bengaluru. With another five green field hospitals under various stages of construction, Fortis shall become a 6,600 bedded strong network over the next 18-24 months.
