Global bio-business forum explores new avenues

As the Asian biotech and pharma industries are making significant strides in the the global market space, Bio Asia 2010 , a four track conference focusing medical biotechnology, biopharmaceuticals, agri biotechnology and animal biotechnology, with an anticipated participation of over 5000 to 6000 delegates from about 45 countries will give a booster shot to the biotech industry in this region and will also assist biotech and pharmaceutical companies around the globe to create new business partnerships, academic and industrial collaborations and for exploring and sharing resources. With over 100 confirmed speakers / panelists , Bio Asia 2010 being held from February 3-6 at Hyderabad International Convention Centre (HICC) is the seventh consecutive edition of the BioAsia held annually at Hyderabad. The event will comprise conference, bio-business partnering and inter national exhibtion. While K Rosaiah, Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh will be inaugurating the function, Dr. Prithvi Raj Chouhan, Union Minister for Science and Technology will be the chief guest. Dr. Gulam Nabi Azad, Union Minister for Health will be the chief guest at the valedictory ceremony. The Federation of Asian Biotech Associations (FABA) is a non-profit society (registered under Societies Act) engaged in various activities related to promoting biotechnology in Asian countries. FABA has achieved a significant landmark in creating a common platform for interaction among member countries and discuss the issues of common interest for improving the biotech space including technology transfers, resource sharing, business collaborations, industry-academia linkage, cross border trade and investments, etc. among its member countries. Considering the role of FABA in the success of BioAsia and establishing it as a global brand, over the past few years, the Government of Andhra Pradesh has entrusted the responsibility of organizing Bio Asia 20010 to FABA similar to Bio Asia 2009.
