Union minister of state for Human Resources Development, D Purandareswari will inaugurate the 15th Annual Convention of the Association of Pharmaceutical Teachers of India (APTICON 2010) on November 2 in Hyderabad.
M Venkata Ramana, minister for Technical Education, Government of AP will attend the function as the guest of honour. The two days event will be held at Shilpakala Vedika near high-tech city. The theme of this year’s seminar is 'Quality in Pharmacy Education - the Role of Teacher, Technology and Management'.
J N Suresh Kumar, vice-chairman of the Local Organizing Committee said about 1500 pharmaceutical intellectuals, academicians and scientists spearheading the pharmacy education throughout the country are expected to participate in the two days conference. The convention is expected to offer a common platform for academicians for a fruitful interaction
He said eleven scientific sessions and 850 poster presentations will be held in the two -day programme of APTICON 2010. Dr B Suresh, president, pharmacy council of India and Dr CK Kokate, vice-chancellor, KLE University, Belgaum are the guests of honour. Dr Suresh will deliver the keynote address. Dr Kokate will give away the prizes to the winners of poster presentation. The theme of the poster presentations is "Quality in Pharma Education-role of teacher, technology and management,” J N Suresh Kumar, general convener of the programme said.
