Eon Labs receives approval for Dextroamphetamine, Amphetamine Mixed Salts for ADHD treatment

Eon Labs, Inc., a generic pharmaceutical company in the U.S. specializing in developing, licensing, manufacturing, selling and distributing a broad range of prescription pharmaceutical products, has reported that it had received final approval for the generic alternative for the ADHD treatment, Adderall. The brand had sales of nearly $500 million in 2001, Eon Labs is only the second generic manufacturer to receive approval for Dextroamphetamine and Amphetamine Mixed Salts. This is Eon Labs 7th approval in calendar 2002. Eon Labs vice president of sales and marketing, Frank Della Fera, R.Ph. said, "Since Eon is only the second generic player, we expect Amphetamine Mixed Salts to be an extremely important addition to our growing product line."
