The Dublin-based PM Group, an international provider of professional services in engineering, architecture and project management, is planning to expand their business in the bio-pharma hub regions like Mumbai, Pune, Ahmedabad and Hyderabad with a sizeable investment.

PM Group had opened its first regional office in the country in Bangalore in 2009 and the aim was to provide the full range of services to the project needs of the companies. Now they are going to expand their business in India as the company views India as a growing market.

“We are looking forward to doing brisk business in the Indian market. Indian companies such as Biocon and Dr Reddy's are the companies to look out for and we believe in time, these companies will grow to become either as big as the multinationals such as GSK or Pfizer or they would be acquired by the multinationals”, said Allan Schouten, managing director - Asia, PM Group.

“India has grown to become an important emerging market with pharmaceutical companies all developing and marketing products for the Indian market. There is definitely great opportunity for projects as well as growth in the pharmaceutical sector in India for us” he added.

Their JV with VA (Venkataramanan Associates) is one of India's oldest and largest award-winning architecture firms based in Bangalore and we have a good, solid relationship with them, and also work on important bio-pharma and R&D projects all around India.

PM Group was founded in 1973 and is headquartered in Dublin, Ireland. It has over 20 offices in Europe, the Middle East, USA and Asia and has a €266 million turnover in 2009. 75% of the company is owned by management and staff. They already worked on many prestigious projects in Asia, including projects for Dr Reddy’s Labs Limited, Biocon as well as Multi-nationals like Abbott, Pfizer, Eli Lilly, Novartis, Lonza, GSK Biologicals and many others. The USP of the company is global expertise in the life sciences delivered locally in India.
