Micro Labs bags IDMA’s Quality Excellence Awards for 2010

Micro Labs Ltd has bagged the Indian Drug Manufacturers’ Association (IDMA) Quality Excellence Awards for 2010. The company  has won  4 awards this year under the category of best formulation plants. The Gold Award was for its Baddi plant in Himachal Pradesh. Two Silver Awards went to its eye drops Bommasandra plant at Bangalore and its Cephalosporin unit at the same locations. It also bagged another Silver Award for its plant at Goa.

These awards will be given away by the Union Minister of Health & Family Welfare,  Ghulam Nabi Azad, in January 7, 2011 at IDMA’s  49th Annual Day Celebrations.

According to  Dilip Surana, CMD, Micro Labs Limited, “Winning Quality Excellence Awards every year has made us more confident and ambitious to keep aiming towards larger heights. We do aspire to win many more laurels in the years to come and reach a level of unbeatable Excellence in manufacturing and quality systems”.

It is the fourth consecutive time the company is receiving  this prestigious award. The company also surpassed its record of three  awards last year by bagging it for the fourth time.

Besides the IDMA  awards, Micro Labs earlier bagged  Best Brand award for its most prescribed brand Dolo 650 an anti pyretic drug. The company was also  conferred the  ‘Company of the Year’ award in 2009 and. Dilip Surana, the CMD bagged the  ‘Outstanding Entrepreneur of the year 2010’ at  the pharmaceutical summit in Mumbai earlier this year.
