The first ever MRCPCH clinical examination is going to be conducted at Lilavati Hospital and Research Centre in Bandra, Mumbai from January 15th to 16th. The clinical examination is a result of an MoU that was signed between Indian Academy of Paediatrics (IAP) and Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health (RCPCH), London in 2010 for conducting these examinations in India. MRCPCH examination is the prestigious examination in Paediatrics conducted by Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health (RCPCH), London in UK and all over the world.
MRCPCH has two theory examinations and one clinical examination. The Theory Examinations of MRCPCH part I and part II were already conducted in 2010. Now in 2011 RCPCH and IAP plan to conduct the first ever mock clinical examination at Lilavati Hospital. Such attempts in India give an opportunity to young Indian aspirant paediatricians to appear for these examinations in India itself saving their travel and accommodation expenses in UK.
RCPCH has waived off registration fee of all students who are selected for this mock clinical examination for which Lilavati Hospital has provided the infrastructure and hospitality. Apart from Mumbai the MRCPCH examinations will be held in Bangalore, Chennai, Kolkata and New Delhi.
