KLE College of Pharmacy to organize 2-day workshop on clinical research from March 7

KLE University's College of Pharmacy, Belgaum is conducting a two-day University Department of Education for Health Professionals (UDEHP) sponsored workshop on clinical research. The event is jointly organized by Department of Pharmacy Practice & Department of Medicine, J N Medical College, Belgaum on March 7 and 8, 2011.
The main objective of the workshop is to impart Good Clinical Practice training to young researchers, experienced faculty and professionals working in the field. The workshop is planned under the auspices of experienced clinical research professionals and trained faculty.
The speakers will be imparting ethical training to the participants according to global standards. The event is viewed as an opportunity for young researchers to learn the concept of clinical research and discuss various ethical issues, obligations and research opportunities with experienced researchers who are having expertise in ICH-GCP standards of quality research, according to the organizers.
The workshop would benefit young researchers, faculty, research scholars, post graduates from various disciplines of pharmacy, medicine and other applied health sciences. It would also provide research coordinators and clinical pharmacologists the much-needed knowledge, stated the organizers.
The registration fees is Rs.300 per participant which excludes accommodation. Since registrations are limited only to 35 participants only, the selection criteria for the workshop would be based on the application submission online with a brief note on how the workshop would help the participants in building ethical research practices, stated the organizers.
