Under the arrangement, Fortis will invest in infrastructure and technology. The proposed facility will have high end CCU, cath lab, cardiac OT, non invasive diagnostic lab and intensive care unit for cardiac surgery.

The initial phase of the contract shall be for a period of 10 years. The facility is expected to become operational by November 2011 and will fill a void in the healthcare infrastructure of the state capital of Uttarakhand.
