DKSH strengthening India foray with distribution, partnerships

DKSH, a leading specialty chemicals distributor and market expansion services provider, is strengthening its presence in India by initiating new distribution agreements and investing in new technical facilities. In this regard, the company has appointed a new country manager Atul Nagarkar..

“India is a fast growing market within DKSH’s chemical distribution activities and we are committed to further strengthen our organisation in this important region. With his experience in the industry, Atul Nagarkar, new country manager, is a great extension to our global management team,” explains Mario Preissler, global head, business unit, performance materials, DKSH. The company has broadened its business footprint in India in the recent years, through various means as also the acquisition of Voltas’ chemicals trading division, a member of the Tata Group in 2009.

Today, the company’s Business Unit Performance Materials provides marketing, sales, and distribution services to over 700 customers in India. The company serves customers in the coatings, construction, cosmetics, food and beverage, pharmaceutical, plastics and specialty chemicals industries with tailor-made solutions for their specific applications through seven offices in Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Kolkata, Chennai, Mumbai, New Delhi and Secunderabad.

DKSH has been successful in forging  numerous new business partnerships in India this year. Ashland Aqualon Functional (AAFI) Ingredients and DKSH have recently decided to join hands  in India. Horphag Research has appointed DKSH to distribute its products Pycnogenol and Prelox in India. DKSH and Seppic, a supplier of innovative turn-key intermediates and functional additives for a range of industrial applications, have decided to enter into  a distribution partnership.
