The Maharashtra State Chemists & Druggists Association (MSCDA) has elected Jagannath Shinde as the president of the Association and Anil Navandar as the secretary for a period of next three years.
Speaking after his election at the annual general meeting of the association held in Kolhapur, Shinde called upon the members to keep the interest of the consumers in mind. He said that an evolution is set to take place in the pharmaceutical space in the country and there is a need to empower the institution of chemists over the next three years. “We will try our best to strive for the state association to be a role model in the country,” he said.
Along with Shinde, the other members of the panel who were also elected by the body include Amarjit Sobti from Nagpur and Vijay Nandapurkar from Aurangabad as the vice-presidents, Anil Navandar as secretary from Khamgaon, Vaijanath Jagusthe from Devrukh as the treasurer, Vinay Shrof as the organizational secretary and Jugalkishore Tapadia from Pune as joint secretary.
This apart, office-bearers from the six zones of the state too were elected unopposed as president and secretary which includes Hukumraj Mehta and Prasad Danave from Mumbai, Madan Patil and Vijay Oswal from Pune, Arun Barakase and Pramod Totla from Marathwada, Mukund Dubey and Aniket Kshirsagar from Nagpur, Raman Agrawal and Jagdish Hargunani from Amravati and Rajendra Gindodiya and Ajit Parekh from the central zone, respectively. Jayesh Pandya was nominated as the chief election officer while Raman Agrawal and Kushal Jain will act as the deputy election officer. The tenure of these office-bearers elected is for a three years period.
