Parabolic Drugs Ltd., a vertically integrated API manufacturer and exporter in India, announced the commissioning of its eighth manufacturing plant at its European GMP accredited Derabassi facility in Punjab. The unit is fully dedicated for the manufacturing of latest generation cephalosporin, both in oral and sterile forms.
The new manufacturing unit adds 120 TPA capacity to existing capacity at Derabassi facility. It is built to international cGMP standards with an investment of over INR 200 million out of the proceeds of the IPO funds with multipurpose facility to manufacture wide range of amorphous cephalosporin. The unit has an area of approximately 15,000 sq. ft., spread over two floors, including dedicated manufacturing and powder processing area with solvent storage.
Cephalosporin facility at Derabassi has eight blocks with state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities both for sterile and non sterile cephlosoprins with dedicated quality control and quality assurance department, in house R&D for developing new cephalosporin molecules, pilot plant for scale up and process development laboratory for continuous improvement in existing technologies.
