Sun Pharmaceutical Industries has bagged the 'Company of the Year' Alexandria-Frost & Sullivan India Healthcare Excellence Awards 2011, one of the prestigious awards in Healthcare events. The third edition of the event concluded with announcement of awards in the categories of biotech & pharmaceuticals, healthcare delivery, medical technologies healthcare delivery and healthcare IT.
To mark the occasion, also announced at the event were two special awards Frost & Sullivan’s Lifetime Achievement Award to Dr B Soma Raju, chairman, Care Hospitals and Frost & Sullivan Healthcare Entrepreneur of the Year to Dr Naresh Trehan, chairman, Medanta - The Medicity.
An independent panel of judges from the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical technologies, healthcare delivery,healthcare IT and private equity sectors deliberated the findings of the analyst team and decided on the most deserving award recipients.
Biocon, Jubilant Biosys, GlaxoSmithKline Pharmaceuticals, Abbott India, Roche India and Siro Clinpharma Pvt Ltd also received award in the biotech & pharmaceuticals segments. Fortis Healthcare & Hospitals Group, Medanta – The Medicity, Healthcare Global Enterprises, Manipal Hospitals and Vasan Healthcare won awards in healthcare delivery category. Medical technologies awards marked to Roche Diagnostics India, Siemens Healthcare, Kimberly Clark, Sahjanand Medical Technologies Pvt Ltd, DePuy and Philips Healthcare.
