Godrej Interio, a business unit of Godrej & Boyce and India's largest furniture brand, has entered an exclusive partnership with LINET Group SE, the European largest hospital and nursing home beds manufacturer, to market and distribute LINET range of hospital beds and allied furniture in the Indian continent. Both partners will jointly develop healthcare products for the Indian market and leverage Godrej's competency and cost efficiency to develop a manufacturing centre for LINET's distribution to chosen markets in Asia. Further, they also plan to lead common research and development activities orientated towards Indian market.
Godrej is currently offering a comprehensive range of healthcare furniture covering, besides other peripheral hospital furniture, all categories of bed including manual ICU and ICCU beds with multiple features. Recently Godrej Interio has launched a state of the art Motorized ICCU bed. Thus LINET Group will gain key complementary products so new partnership allows to offer wide-spectrum portfolio regarding both price and the functional features. The LINET products will be available from April 2012 in all metros. Initially, Godrej Interio will focus on private and corporate hospitals. The company will undertake manufacturing of few components in India within next one or two years.
