Dr L H Hiranandani Hospital, Mumbai, has conducted an IBOM 2012 on March 9 in Mumbai to generate awareness on the advancements in biological orthopaedic therapy - a worldwide popular treatment option in orthopaedics and upcoming sports medicine.
The event provided a platform to discuss developments and innovations in the field of ortho biology with an aim to increase awareness on sports medicine in India.
Biological Orthopaedic therapy is fast becoming the most popular treatment option in orthopaedics and sports medicine, sub-specialty of Ortho biology offers an opportunity to analyze and evaluate one’s sports capabilities worldwide. A number of options including platelet-rich plasma (PRP) therapy, autologus chondrocyte implantation (ACI) and stem cell therapy are the treatments available for orthopaedic surgeons today.
