NephroPlus has inducted Dr Brian J G Pereira, a nephrologists as director. The new appointment would help strengthen the service offering and its strategy to be a pan India kidney care specialist.
Dr Pereira, who has played a pioneering role in the area of dialysis and kidney care globally, will have an active role in driving strategic initiatives at NephroPlus. His presence is expected to provide significant advantages as NephroPlus looks to set up around 100 dialysis centres across India over the next three years, said VikramVuppala, CEO and founder, NephroPlus KidneyCare Clinics.
“We hope to leverage his expertise as we work to build the NephroPlus brand and provide the best kidney care and dialysis treatment to patients in India,” he added.
“NephroPlus is the only company in India that I am associated with convinced about their vision of providing world class kidney care to patients in India. I look forward to working as we actively strive to raise the level of kidney care and dialysis treatment in the country,” said Dr Brian J G Pereira.

One of the fastest growing kidney care clinics, NephroPlus will set up 100 state-of-the-art kidney care and dialysis clinics across India over the next three years. The company received its first round of funding from noted venture capital firm, Bessemer Venture Partners last year. NephroPlus will have standalone clinics as well as partnering with leading hospitals to set up state-of-the-art centres.
The state of kidney care in India is not meeting the needs of those who desperately need care. More than one third of dialysis patients become infected by life threatening HIV, Hepatitis-C and Hepatitis-B infections during dialysis. There is an urgent need for world-class kidney care and dialysis centres. NephroPlus, as it follows the highest quality standards to prevent cross infections, kept its infection rate (during dialysis) at zero, according to the kidney care major.
