CordLife ropes in Shilpa Shetty as brand ambassador to endorse stem cell banking

In an effort to create a massive awareness on the importance of stem cell banking, CordLife Sciences (India) Pvt. Ltd. is a subsidiary of CordLife Limited, which is Asia’s largest stem cell banking network, CordLife today announced Shilpa Shetty as its new brand ambassador.

As a would be mom, Shilpa Shetty not only wants to store her baby’s stem cells with CordLife but also would be actively involved in creating awareness among the would be parents on the importance of stem cell banking. She decided to bank the stems cells of her baby with CordLife, it offered the latest technology available in stem cell processing and cryopreservation in this part of the world, said Meghnath Roy Chowdhury, MD, CordLife.

Stem cells extracted from the cord blood have positively treated conditions like leukaemia, lymphoma, cerebral palsy and thalassemia major.
