MAQUET Cardiopulmonary, a business unit of MAQUET Cardiovascular has signed a contract with Avalon Laboratories for the acquisition of double-lumen catheter bicaval cannulation for Elite, plus additional equipment for use vascular access for ECMO and ECLS.

The double lumen catheter for cannulation bicaval patented Elite is indicated for Avalon simultaneously perform venous drainage and reinfusion of blood through the jugular vein during extracorporeal life support interventions. This catheter is designed to increase the efficiency of gas exchange in the blood by its drain both the upper body as the bottom, while the reinfusion is performed simultaneously to the heart. The catheter is also designed to minimize the recirculation and maximizing blood flow, providing a less invasive solution to patients.
The double-lumen catheter for bicaval cannulation Elite Avalon full line MAQUET cannulas, which also includes the most advanced line of single-lumen cannula, the HLS, as well as conventional double-lumen cannulas for paediatric use.
The product range Elite Avalon is sold through retail channels and international distribution of MAQUET, not just by current distributors Avalon, under the trade name Avalon Elite.
