St. John’s Research Institute (SJRI), Bengaluru, is organising nine-day workshop on Theory and Practice of Epidemiology and Biostatistics (EpiBio) from August 27 to September 5, 2012 at Biorepository Conference hall, SJRI. The workshop aims to integrate theory and application in epidemiology, medicine, public health and biostatistics.
This intensive nine days course in Epidemiology and Biostatistics will introduce research methodologies, epidemiological designs, and statistical analyses in relation to health sciences.
The workshop is designed to address each study design using a specific example. The study designs and associated statistical methods will be dealt with together such that the gap in knowledge in adopting a statistic to a study design will be addressed. This workshop will give hands-on experience for both designing a study and performing statistical analysis.
The course faculty will be from the SJRI's Division of Epidemiology and Biostatistics. Many eminent researchers are invited as guest lecturers.
This workshop is designed for postgraduate medical/allied health sciences students, PhD students, post-doctorates and others associated with health research.
