Chennai-based Nichi-In Centre for Regenerative Medicine (NCRM) has found a place in the list of globally significant medical discoveries.

The Global Medical Discovery, a Canadian organization that publishes a selected list of globally significant patents, discoveries and publications has listed the recent work of NCRM based on the successful treatment of ‘Ovarian cancer (Stage IV) with Autologous Immune Enhancement Therapy’ (AIET) as one of the key scientific articles.

AIET is a cell based immunotherapy using the patient’s own peripheral blood derived NK cells and CTLs which has been in practice in Japan close to two decades.  According to sources, NCRM is the only organization in India offering this to hospitals all over the country.

In commemoration of NCRM’s seventh anniversary and providing AIET in India, a one day conference on the novel cell based therapies for Cancer will be held on October 13, in Chennai. Prof. Iwasaki and Dr Terunuma from Japan and oncologists from India will deliver lectures in the one-day event.
