Fischer Imaging a global leader in the manufacturing and marketing of specialty and general-purpose X-ray imaging systems, announced the signing of a strategic alliance with Toshiba America Medical Systems for the sales and marketing of Fischer's dedicated electrophysiology products. "Aligning with an industry leader such as Toshiba to market our EP table, Single Plane EPX and our Biplane EPX2 electrophysiology systems in conjunction with their existing line of quality cardiology systems is consistent with our goal of focusing all efforts on refining Fischer Imaging's breast care core competency. This is where our vision as well as our products, clearly dominate. Toshiba reaps the benefit of being able to deliver the highest possible value to their cardiology customers with a complete line perfectly suited and priced to the specific customer's needs," commented Lou Rivelli, president and chief executive officer of Fischer Imaging. Fischer Imaging's EPX and EPX2 are the most complete and cost efficient heart catheterisation systems on the market offering both high-resolution imagery and reduced X-ray dosage via their Pulsed Progressive Fluoroscopy (PPF). With the incorporation of Fischer's patented "C within a C" design, both systems carry the most features yet have the smallest space requirements of any system in their class and are ideally suited for procedures such as ablation, atrial fibrillation, ventricular tachyacardia and SVTs. The Tangent VI is a dedicated electrophysiology table with the ultimate flexibility of usage in both an electrophysiology and cardiovascular environment.
