FIP to organise webinar on Nov 27 to impart training to industry professionals on GMP

The Industrial Pharmacy Section (IPS) of International Pharmaceutical Federation (FIP) is slated to impart training to the industry professionals on the ongoing subject of 'preparation for Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP)  inspection' through webinar. The event will be conducted on November 27, 2012 at 20.30 hrs India time (8.30 pm). The duration of the event is 120 minutes.

The webinar will be conducted by Michael Anisfeld, an expert in the area of Quality Management Systems and has assisted several pharmaceutical companies around globe including few Indian companies in preparing them for successful GMP audits. He is a senior consultant for Globepharm Consulting and is also vice-president, Industrial Pharmacy Section, FIP.

The participants just need a computer with internet facility. The webinar is free for members and anyone can attend this webinar and activities by becoming a member of FIP and selecting IPS as a choice. The membership fee is Euro 35 for one year. The webinar is available only to members of the Industrial Pharmacy Section of the FIP. The non members need to access FIP website for the same.

It will be an ideal education and learning experience to students of graduation and post graduation of pharmacy and regulatory professionals.

The benefits of the webinar is that the participants at the end of the session will understand the mechanics and extent of a National Regulatory Agency  (NRA) inspection. It will arm the participants to prepare the company for an inspection and how one could be cleared or rejected during an inspection during the first 15 minutes of the event. It will also provide an understanding the reasons why not to fail an NRA inspection, said Kaushik Desai, associate executive committee member of Industrial Pharmacy Section of FIP.

This webinar is designed to provide background and insight into the inspection process, and to provide practical strategies and tactics that a company must know and implement in order to have the potential to pass an inspection the first time through.

Course outline covers the objectives of NRA inspection, strategies of companies that have been successful in passing an NRA inspection among others.
