Akums has many more specialized innovative products to its credit which include DIGENE Fast Melt mouth dissolving antacid powder, Diclofenac 75 mg/ml injection, Cefixime + Oflloxacin tablets for enteric fever, Paracetamol 100 ml infusion, painless Propofol injection, Ready to use Antibiotic Syrups (Ready Mix), Medicinal Chewing gums/ jellies , liquid Vitamins in Soft Gel Capsules & many others.
Akums has applied for more than 50 new formulations developed by its R&D and F&D for global patent.
Akums Drugs and Pharmaceutical Ltd was established in the year 2004 and has six world class facilities at Haridwar, Uttarakhand (India). All its manufacturing facilities, producing formulations in wide range of dosage forms & therapeutic segments are certified by WHO-GMP, ISO 9001:2008, ISO 14001:2004, HACCP and US-NFS which is equivalent to US-FDA for its most ultra modern facility producing Nutraceuticals, Food Supplements & Herbal formulations .
Akums full fledged regulatory department with qualified and experienced personnel prepare dossiers as per CTD, ACTD & guidelines of MOH of different countries and has already submitted 300 dossiers in different countries.
To meet the emerging demand of Herbal medicines across the globe, Akums has set up a separate state-of-the-art-manufacturing facility to produce high quality Herbal, Nutraceutical & Food Supplement products at its 100 per cent owned subsidiary Plant – VI, Maxcure Nutravedics Ltd., which is US-NSF certified and produces formulations in the form of Tablets, Capsules (Hard/Soft Gel.), Liquid Orals, Powder . Maxcure has developed unique products for most prevailing diseases, such as; Male Pattern Baldness, Anxiety, Arthritis, Hypertension, Obesity, Uric Acid etc. to name a few.
Akums has plans to set up more manufacturing facilities in near future specially designed as per US-FDA/UK-MHRA norms to cater the regulated markets in different dosage forms.
