TN IPA to conduct national pharmacy week celebration today

The National Pharmacy Week Celebration of Indian Pharmaceutical Association (IPA) Tamil Nadu branch will be held at 6 pm Tuesday, January 8 in Chennai.

The Celebration was supposed to be held in last month, but was postponed to January 8, 2013 because the earlier scheduled date was clashing with the 64th Indian Pharmaceutical Congress (IPC) in Chennai.

The theme of today’s Pharmacy Week Celebration is “Pharmacists in Public Health”, based on which a speech will be delivered by J Jayaseelan, secretary of TN-IPA.

Elaborating the programme, MM Yusuf, president of the Association said the chief guest of the function Dr J Radhakrishnan, Secretary, Tamil Nadu health department will give away the best pharmacist award and other awards in the function.

The state drugs control director G Selvaraj, president of Tamil Nadu Pharmacy Council (TNPC), Dr K Chinnaswamy and Dr V Ravichandran will speak on the theme.

Tamil Nadu Pharmaceutical Sciences Welfare Trust, TN Pharmaceutical Trust, TN IPA Trust and IDMA will participate in the meeting.
