Scientific workshop on pharmacovigilance planned in Coimbatore on Feb 23

Oviya Medsafe, a firm engaged in pharmacovigilance activities, is organizing a  workshop on pharmacovigilance at Coimbatore on February 23. The company is floated by a group of physicians based at Coimbatore.

Scientific training on pharmacovigilance will be imparted to the participants. Doctors, dentists, pharmacists, physiotherapists, nurses and other professionals with life science backgrounds are the participants for this workshop, said Dr Vijay Venkitaraman, CEO of Oviya Medsafe Pvt Ltd.

He said the workshop will be useful for clinical research investigators, coordinators and site staffs to update their knowledge in pharmacovigilance. Drug safety or clinical research professionals working in the industry and practising doctors are also expected as participants, he added.

The pharmacovigilance trainer and expert, Dr Moin Don will be handling the classes. Dr Moin was the director of the regional pharmacovigilance quality assurance for Asia-Pacific region of Sanofi Aventis.
