Eris Lifesciences enters drug discovery contract with SCTIMST

Eris Lifesciences Private Limited, Ahmedabad-based bio-pharmaceutical company, has entered into a research contract with Sri Chitra Tirunal Institute of Medical Sciences and Technology (SCTIMST), Thiruvananthapuram, for the joint development of certain drug delivery formulations using nanotechnology.

SCTIMST is reputed for the successful development and commercialization of a number of bio-medical technologies including the Chitra valve.

Amit Bakshi, managing director, Eris said, “We have been looking for an opportunity to enter into the field of novel drug discovery and development. Eris is happy to have SCT, one of the public sector research institutions with a proven history, as our partner in this endeavour.”
