CFS opens super specialized eye hospital at Banjara Hills

Centre for Sight (CFS), launched its 45th super specialized eye hospital at Banjara Hills in Hyderabad.

CFS is a leading chain of super specialized eye hospitals across India. With the inauguration of new super specialized eye hospital, the group has established a chain of 45 specialized hospitals across the country.

Union Minister of Science & Technology, Earth Sciences, S Jaipal Reddy, while inaugurating the new hospital welcomed CFS to Hyderabad and congratulated Dr Sachdev & his team for their remarkable services in the field of eye care.

Giving insights in to the rising incidents of eye cancer in children, “retinoblastoma and diabetic retinopathy in childhood is the most common primary ocular malignancy (eye cancer) is the most common problems faced today. With best team of eminent doctors and 100 years of cumulative experience & state-of-the-art infrastructure & facilities CFS strives to give the best of the eye care in the world,” said. Dr Sachdev founder CMD of CFS.

The new super specialty eye hospital is equipped to provide treatment and serve full spectrum of eye diseases from Micro Incision Cataract Surgery (MICS, the latest surgery for cataract extraction) to LASIK (Laser-Assisted in situ Keratomileusis), commonly known as laser eye surgery for spectacle removal, complete diabetic eye care, glaucoma management, paediatric ophthalmology, squint surgery, neuro ophthalmology, eye plastic surgery, eye and facial aesthetics etc.

The National Referral Centre for Ocular Oncology (tumours) is another important facility available for the first time in Hyderabad. It is the first such facility in the CFS network & has the best diagnostic & therapeutic facilities with an emphasis on day care management. It includes a paediatric chemotherapy unit and sophisticated Ruthenium 106 radiation brachytherapy system.

The NRCOO provides most advanced life, eye and vision salvaging treatment modalities for eye tumours with a fraction of the cost and with optimal cure rate. The in-house facility to prepare life-like artificial eyes and facial prosthesis are available for cosmetic rehabilitation of people in whom the natural eye cannot be saved.
