Indian Society of Ambulatory Surgery (ISAS) has announced the 2nd National Conference in Bengaluru starting from August 3. The event will have experts from India and abroad who will present their clinical researches and insights on ambulatory care. Ambulatory or short stay surgeries are procedures that take between 24 - 72 hours from admission to patient discharge.
The two day conference will give the medical fraternity different opportunities to interact directly with the patients and doctors in the ambulatory setting and understand healthcare outcomes. At the conference, practitioners will utilize research that aim to further validate the clinical and economic outcomes of pharmacists’ contributions to patient care in an ambulatory setting.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr MG Bhat, president ISAS, says, “There is a lot of potential in the healthcare delivery system and we aim to encourage and advance the study and practice of the science of day and short stay surgery.”
The conference would provide a platform for sharing learnings and discussing cases of interest for surgeons, physicians, nurses, administrators, quality assurance auditors, biomedical instrument manufacturers and other healthcare delivery professionals working in ambulatory surgery set-ups across specialities. The conference would include learnings from ambulatory surgery models in the US, scientific sessions, discussions on safety practices and quality assurance. This conference would also highlight the variety of short term medical services that can benefit insurance providers in further enhancing their portfolio for various medical insurance schemes.
“We intend to repeat the same success as of last year and discuss the new medical developments, technologies, safety practices and processes; that have evolved over the time and needs to be showcased in a proper manner,” said Dr Mahesh Reddy, vice president, ISAS.
The Conference will witness the presence of Nandan Nilkeni, chairman, Unique Identification Authority of India, co- founder and ex-CEO, Infosys as the chief guest along with honourable teacher Dr V N Shrikhnade as the guest of honour.
