The event, being hosted by Indian Pharmacy Graduates’ Association (IPGA), has the theme 'Pharma Vision 2020: Empowering Pharmacists’. The congress will be held at Amity University, Noida. IPGA is a federating body of IPCA (Indian Pharmaceutical Congress Association) along with IPA (Indian Pharmaceutical Association), APTI (Association of Pharmaceutical Teachers of India), AIDCOC (All India Drugs Control Officers Confederation) and IHPA (Indian Hospital Pharmacists Association).

“The Congress will provide a common platform to all such professionals to facilitate interaction, to update their knowledge and to move ahead in the service of the mankind. The conference will bring together national and international experts on regulations, health management and academics, to discuss opportunities and challenges for empowering the pharmacists in India,” according to its organising secretary Dr Arun Garg.

The conference will deliberate on the current scientific research and developments in the field of pharmaceutical sciences. It will further focus on the transfer of current scientific knowledge and research findings into practice.

An exhibition, being organized by FICCI on the sidelines of the conference, is expected to have the participation of more than 300 companies and will showcase the advanced pharmaceutical technology, products and services.
