Pharmexcil gearing up for scientific symposium on export policy at 65th IPC 2013

The Pharmaceutical Export Promotion Council of India (Pharmexcil) is gearing up for organising a scientific symposium on pharma export policy at the upcoming 65th Indian Pharmaceutical Congress (IPC) 2013 in New Delhi. The big event is hosted by the Indian Pharmacy Graduates Association from December 20 to 22, 2013 at Amity University Campus, in Noida.

Moving forward with its plans, the council is roping in personnel from pharma industry and has already taken into confidence leading pharma players like Micro Labs, JB Chemicals, Indoco Remedies etc. for the big event for its scientific symposium.

“This time IPC's theme is "Pharma Vision 2020: Empowering Pharmacists" suiting to the theme we have roped in Speakers from the leading pharma companies to deliberate on contemporary topics relating to pharma professionals and academics,” informed Dr Appaji, director general, Pharmexcil.

Dr Appaji is expected to deliberate on ‘Global opportunities for Pharmaceuticals' at the event. Focusing on contemporary issues the council is also planning to deliberate on requirements of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Good Laboratory practices (GLP) for export of pharmaceuticals.

Recent developments in drug regulatory requirements of US FDA and topics such as nutraceuticals and global markets are also expected to come for discussions on the occasion.

Giving more inputs on Pharmexcil’s plans for the IPC 2013 Subbi Reddy, regional director said, “For the upcoming IPC we have some more plans to utilize the platform at IPC to promote Indian Pharma under Brand India campaign but it is under still planning.”

Being a national level conference, scientific luminaries from across the world are expected gather at the common platform. Prominent Scientific personalities and intellectuals from the pharmaceutical industry, research and development, regulatory departments, quality control and quality assurance, hospital clinical and community pharmacy, academic, marketing, policy makers from government departments, pharmaceutical consultants, top officials of state and central agencies are expected at the IPC. About 10,000 delegates from various fields of pharmaceutical sciences are expected to attend, interact and benefit with the exchange of technical knowledge.
