e4e expands its operations in the Philippines to increase headcount

e4e Healthcare Services Inc., a leading global provider of end-to-end healthcare services is now increasing its footprint in the Philippines at the Taguig City, Manila. The centre which will have over 200 employees in 2014 and will increase to over 500 employees in 2015.

Fuelled by the implementation of the Affordable Care Act and the transition of the US healthcare industry from ICD-9 to ICD-10, e4e will expand its ‘best-shoring’ delivery capability in the Philippines, in addition to its current delivery centres in the US and in India.

The healthcare industry makes up for 17.7 per cent of the US GDP, approaching $3 trillion in annual spend and is projected to grow to $4.8 trillion by 2021, thereby increasing the outsourcing opportunity.

The changes in the US healthcare industry, has increased cost pressure on the providers, the payers. Besides automation and process re-engineering, the US healthcare industry will need to outsource more, to optimize costs and improve internal efficiencies. These factors are fuelling robust growth in healthcare outsourcing from the US.
