INC Research CEO to represent CRO industry on Avoca Panel at partnerships in clinical trials conference

INC Research, a therapeutically focused global clinical research organization (CRO) with a trusted process for delivering reliable results, has announced it will feature three senior leaders, including CEO Jamie Macdonald, at this year’s partnerships in clinical trials conference, from March 30, 2014 to April 2, 2014 in Las Vegas. Macdonald, along with senior Vice President - Clinical Innovation, John Whitaker and senior Vice President - Global Consulting Jane Winter, will lead discussions on a range of topics, including alliance partnerships, clinical innovation and risk-based monitoring.

“The partnerships conference provides a great opportunity to explore new approaches in clinical outsourcing with other industry thought leaders,” said INC Research CEO Jamie Macdonald. “This year, I’m thrilled to be taking part in a panel examining the state of the clinical outsourcing industry. As the lone CRO representative on the panel, I look forward to serving as an ambassador for our industry in exchanging perspectives with biopharmaceutical leaders on how innovative alliance partnerships, along with leading-edge technologies and monitoring strategies, can promote progress toward more intelligent, data-driven approaches to clinical trial design and execution.”

In addition to the panel, Macdonald will participate in the 2nd Annual Executive Leadership Boardroom: Shifting the Drug Development Model & Moving Toward a Real Partnership, an idea exchange and leadership forum for pharma, biotech, medical device and CRO executives. Macdonald, along with other invited CRO leaders, will exchange ideas, insights and new ways to partner at this invitation-only event, which takes place on March 31 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Jane Winter will present “The Rules of Engagement: Building a Collaborative Environment” on March 31 at 2 p.m. as part of the “Fundamentals of Clinical Outsourcing Certificate Programme” hosted in conjunction with the partnerships in clinical trials conference. This hands-on workshop will offer a real-world approach to evaluating the health of outsourcing relationships, while highlighting the importance of building a robust governance model when entering into such arrangements.

John Whitaker,  will participate in an interactive panel discussion on “The Tactical Approach to Disruptive Innovation in Clinical Trials,” taking place on  April 1 from 4 - 5 p.m. Macdonald is a featured panelist on the Avoca panel discussion, “The State of Clinical Outsourcing: The Impact of Outsourcing Partnerships on Clinical Trial Optimization,” taking place on  April 2 at 11:45 a.m.
