DocTree has now unveiled an Android App designed to help the doctors and hospitals provide an instant quote for the medical needs of patients.  The mobile app is the first virtual hospital portal in India which provides key information and options on pricing, expertise and quality medical solutions to people in a systematic manner.

A patient only needs to provide important details like the solution they seek, medical history, and upload documents if any, location etc and DocTree would provide a fine choice of experts suitable for that particular need along with the best prices within 24 hours of the request.

The concept for this web-based service would enable a consumer to search and select healthcare providers via a two way dynamic online process. Doctors will review the patients’ treatment needs and hospitals will offer discounted prices.

With the DocTree mobile App now, doctors can access the portal while on the move and provide instant quotes on the medical solutions that a patient would seek. The DocTree mobile App is specifically designed for the medical fraternity new to DocTree as well as those who are on board and are committed to shape up the health care accessibility in the country. “With our new mobile App we are allowing the doctors to make an easy access to the portal and provide instant quotes thus fastening the process and enabling a patient to make an informed choice”, says Dr Sreenivasan Narayana, CEO& Founder,  DocTree.

The patient just needs to make a choice of the doctor along with the price and print a voucher that would have that guaranteed negotiated price for a surgical procedure. The idea is based on the need for more openness and transparency in Indian healthcare system. “Patients need to play a more proactive role in the choices they make, for which they need rich and transparent information on healthcare availability, accessibility and affordability. We strongly believe that for every patient there is a doctor match available within his/her budgets. There is no way that a patient has to neglect health due to cost constrains”, says Dr Madhav Hegde, director medical services, DocTree.

“With the help of the DocTree App, access to healthcare service  information has been simplified and one can monitor the profile on the portal without having to login. This has reduced the response time to a patient’s query drastically and we can now provide our quotes promptly even when we are on the move after carefully going through the patient details” said Dr Ravishankar HR, senior consultant laparoscopic surgeon in Bengaluru.

The app works in conjunction with the DocTree portal with responses, feedback and engagement on daily activities that result in better healthcare outcomes. It aims to usher in a whole new way in which patients will access healthcare and, how doctors will connect with patients.
