Wockhardt hospital launches Aasara Club for senior citizens in Mumbai

Sterling Wockhardt Hospital, with an aim to build a progressive and responsible society has launched the 'Aasara club' for senior citizens. As one of the world’s leading and advanced healthcare organisation, Wockhardt Hospitals is aware of its moral onus to acknowledge their role and to extend medical attention and support for senior citizens of the country.

The members of the Aasara club will avail special elderly healthcare privileges and other benefits. Nishant Jaiswal, head, Sterling Wockardt Hospital Care, said, “Our generation can never repay the deeds and sacrifices of the senior citizens of our society, however the least we can do is start taking steps towards giving back. We also believe that we should work towards the well being of the community as a whole, with this thought we launched Aasara.”

“Aasara is an attempt and an opportunity for us to take care of the elderly as it is they who provided us a good present and it is their well being that will help us create a good future. The first step we took towards this was that we started free ambulance services for the Aasara club senior citizens members,” he added.

The elderly can register with a fee of Rs.250 who will be provided with Aasara cards  The senior citizens can avail numerous benefits with this card such as discounts;----- on door to door consultation, diagnostics tests, free home specimen collection and regular health awareness meets  Aasara club members on concurrent health awareness topics such as diabetes diet planning, lifestyle diseases etc. They will have the privilege to get Rs. 10,000 discount throughout the year.
