KPTA to co-organise CPhI Korea 2014 on Sept 2 & 3

Korea Pharmaceutical Traders Association (KPTA) a professional trade entity affiliated with the Korean Ministry of of Health and Welfare, will be co-organising CPhI Korea 2014, co-located with ICSE held in Coex, Seoul from September 2 to 3, 2014. Through the partnership with KPTA and leading sponsors from various countries, CPhI Korea 2014 is expecting to provide an unrivaled platform for domestic and international pharma companies to augment the next stage of development in rapidly maturing Korean market.

Using the KPTA’s connection with the leading local pharmaceutical manufacturers and distributors and a good reputation in Korean pharmaceutical industry, CPhI Korea is expecting to recruit more high-quality domestic exhibitors and visitors.

KPTA has contributed to the development of the ex-importing pharmaceutical products through various trade promotion activities, such as trade information, market research services and business matchmaking. KPTA assists Korean importers by evaluating import documentation and issuing import permits for customs clearance of pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, diagnostics, herbal medicines and quasi drugs.

After entering the 'developed pharmaceutical market' in 2010, Korea has shown a steady growth rate of over 10 per cent in both exports and imports until now with expected annual average growth rate of 6.5 per cent until 2015. Also geopolitical location with easy access to Japan, China, India, which are the main Asian pharmaceutical markets.

It is reported that CPhI Korea 2014 is getting a great response from overseas pharma companies. China Chamber of Commerce for Import & Export of Medicines & Health Products (CCCMHPIE) will be presenting China Pavilion with the leading Chinese pharmaceutical companies, and several Chinese companies including Sinolite Industrial and Zheijang Tianyu are participating individually. Lots of Indian companies such as Alchem International, Bal Pharma, Chempro, and Lasa Labs and Omkar Specialty Chemicals, and Robinson Pharma from America will also join the show.
