The two days national exhibition of pharmaceutical and nutraceutical industries in south India, christened as ‘Pharmac South-2014’ will be inaugurated at 10 am on July 18 by Aradhana Johri, secretary, department of pharmaceuticals (DoP), Government of India at Chennai Trade Centre.
SV Veeramani, president of Indian Drugs Manufacturers Association (IDMA), M Rajaratinam, chairman, Tamil Nadu IDMA, Dr PV Appaji, director general of Pharmaceuticals Export Promotion Council, S Abdul Khader, state drugs controller, Tamil Nadu and Dr S Manivannan, deputy drugs controller, CDSCO will speak on the occasion.
The event is organised by the manufacturers associations of pharma and nutraceutical products from six south Indian states and hosted by Tamil Nadu IDMA, with the support of Pharmexcil.
To attract the stakeholders in the industry, three panel discussions are organised in the exhibition days. One seminar is organised by Pharmexcil on the subject, “Export opportunities to new and unexplored markets’. TN IDMA is organising one discussion on,’ Building brands to enhance your market share”. The third one will be on “New molecules in nutraceuticals’. said Rajaratinam, chairman, TN IDMA.
