The main aim of iClinic’s specialist onsite healthcare facility is to provide timely and cost effective healthcare services to the patients in the semi-urban and rural areas of the country.

Particularly in the semi urban and rural parts of the country the availability of specialist healthcare is far from reach. To fill this void, iClinic has initiated a step forward to launch onsite specialist healthcare facilities for the benefit of patients in the tier 2 and tier 3 cities across India.

Specialist healthcare is an unaddressed burning concern issue in the country. According to healthcare experts, close to 20 million of population in India are primarily residing in tier 2, tier 3 cities. Majority of them are having little or no access to quality medical assistance in the country.

To address this issue, iClinic has come forward to take challenge of reaching out to rural population by providing them onsite specialist medical care. In this regard iClinic is establishing a strong network; where in the local doctors will be connected with specialists in metros. In this way iClinic is making to ensure the best medical assistance for the small town patient.

iClinic operates through a one of a kind model wherein it has tied up with local hospitals in tier 2, tier 3 cities where the doctor can facilitate a consult with a renowned specialist sitting in a metro through a simple video call. “So we are not only giving you 24/7 online medical solutions like many other healthcare portals in the online space but actually conducting an onsite physical and virtual consult. This is our USP as we are reaching out to people directly through local doctors who facilitate specialist consults. So it is not just a cut and dry online medical help site which is rolling out medical prescriptions and advice but actually delivering good quality healthcare with a human touch among a section of population which is neglected and in desperate need of specialist healthcare,” said Sanjoy Mukerji, managing director, iClinic.

‘iClinic’ Healthcare was conceptualised and founded jointly by Sanjoy Mukerji, ex-chief commercial officer of Vodafone India and Varun Berry, managing director, Britannia Industries Ltd to make quality healthcare a reality in India.
