Septodont showcases latest innovations at FDI World Dental Congress 2014

Septodont, the worldwide leader in local dental anesthetics showcased its latest innovative products in pain control, pulp vitality preservation and bone grafting at the FDI World Dental Congress 2014, hosted by the Indian Dental Association (IDA) from September 11 to 14, 2014.

Septodont presented Ultra Safety Plus, a single-use sterile device with a protective sheath and handle and Septoject Evolution, a dental needle designed with a larger interior diameter to reduce pressure at injection. Its new-launched R.T.R. solution, a ß-tricalcium phosphate bone grafting material which facilitates new bone formation was also a major highlight.

At Septodont’s booth, visitors were able to take demonstration on Septodont’s latest developments with applications in restorative and endodontic segments. The company patented in these segments two breakthrough technology platforms called “Nano-Dimer Conversion Technology” - N’Durance Range and “Activate Biosilicate Technology” - Biodentine. Looking to the future, Septodont is encouraging academic research on dental drugs that will regenerate tooth pulp and bone tissue.

Septodont has been supplying to the dental hospitals in India for the past 27 years. In 1999, it entered into a joint-venture with Healthcare Remedies to create Septodont Healthcare India Pvt Limited (SHIPL). The JV opened its own production plant at Taloja MIDC, Navi Mumbai, and became the first company in India which indigenously manufactures its Plastalgin alginates brand, flagship product in the Indian market as well as oral Hygiene products, disinfectant range and pastes.

Septodont has been conceiving and manufacturing innovative products for the dental profession for over 80 years. The company counts over 1,200 employees and 7 manufacturing plants in the North and South Americas, Europe and India and distributes its products in more than 150 countries in which the company has been approved by government health agencies. Over 500 million dental anesthetic injections used by dentists around the world have been manufactured by Septodont.
